Scissortail Park

The MAPS 3 Scissortail Park is the first phase in a great urban park as
part of the “Core to Shore” planning initiative. It consist of 38 acre urban
park and will be classified as Metropolitan Park with OKC’s open space
system and features 15 unique areas including but not limited to a
boulevard garden, oval lawn, a stage, a promenade, a fountian, an
adventure playground, a pavilion, wooldans, a lake with a bridge, a
boathouse, terraces, a dog park and gardens around the existing historic
Union Sation.

Riversports Rapid Facility

Construction of a new 20 Acre outdoor recreation and Olympic training venue incorporating several outdoor activities including but not limited to , kayaking, canoeing and rafting. The primary programming element of the MAPS 3 Oklahoma River Phase 3 Whitewater Facility is to be a multiple channel recirculating whitewater course.

Myriad Gardens

This project is basically a 17 acre greenhouse about 2/3 of the inside space is dedicated to a tropical rainforest collection, while remaining 1/3 is dedicated to a dry tropical zone. There is no physical boundary between the two collections. Downey Contracting gave the 20 year building a major renovation including brick pavers, bathroom renovations, elevator renovations, new heating and cooling system, new roof, all new structural steel stairs with railing covered with bamboo. We put in a new drainage system, sprinkler system. We repaired the water fall and created a faux tree that looks like it holds up the upper decking.

Oklahoma City Zoo

Construction of a new 5 acre exhibit at the Oklahoma City Zoo. Construction of a unique entry structure, man-mad above ground caves, primate holding facility, contact barn with pens, flamingo holding/pump house building, lorikeet exhibit, office/restroom facility, site utilities, construction of waterfalls and streams, and play areas.

Little River Park

This project includes mass excavation of over 170,000 cy for a new retention pond including a new cast in place concrete outlet structure. In addition, almost 1 mile of new precast Recon retaining wall is built along each side of the creek and a new Contech arch bridge is constructed at SW 17th and Janeway. Also included in the project are pedestrian bridges, new concrete walking trails, storm drainage and erosion control.

Project 180 Pedestrian Plaza

Project 180 Pedestrian Plaza included several unique design features that make this project one of kind. The project is located in downtown Oklahoma City between Corporate Tower, Robinson Renaissance, Oklahoma Tower, East City Center Parking Garage, and Robinson Plaza. The project include a new water feature with large granite boulders, a decorative steel screen wall, stainless steel planters, new decorative pavers and new irrigation and landscaping.
