Construction of a 75,000sf, 3-story performing arts center integral with the existing visual and performing arts center facility. The educational process within the existing facility will be on-going throughout the project requiring careful coordination with College functions. Portions of the existing facility will be dismantled to accommodate new construction. Site civil work includes the installation of storm water and sanitary sewer distribution systems.
Cox Business Center
A $3 million remodel inclusive of a new locker room for the Oklahoma City Barons, VIP club for ticket holders, the Blue Line restaurant and bar, a merchandise store, weight room, press room, laundry room, promotion room, Loge Boxes, along with other various spaces. New Advertising throughout the arena was also added.
Yukon Fire Station
New Headquarters Fire Station to provide both fire protective services and administrative functions. The 28,000 square foot facility will replace one of two small stations currently serving the City. Designed with the characteristic red brick exterior of a traditional fire house, the technologically advanced station will be fully secured and equipped with an integrated alerting and LED messaging system. With design alternates, the functional and operational areas will include: Four double stack apparatus bays, Vehicle Maintenance and Storage, Storage/Off Duty Gear, Radio/EMS Report Room, Administrative and Training, and Residential.
Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Headquarters
The project consisted of a 7,000 sf Annex Office Addition and complete renovation of the existing OTA Headquarters Building including a new elevator addition and main entrance. Unique characteristics of this project included cast in place concrete fins and overhangs to match the exterior façade of the existing building. The exposed exterior concrete elements were sandblasted to expose the aggregate which provided a very close match in texture and finish of the concrete on the existing building. Other key elements of the project included new mechanical and electrical systems, retrofit metal roofing of all buildings, a new skylight over the executive board room, along with new finishes throughout.
Chandler Public Schools
Downey Contracting, LLC was hired as Construction Manager for various projects for Chandler Public Schools. Among these were Chandler High School’s new Agriculture Education Building, East Side Elementary Safe Room Cafeteria and Park Road Safe Room Media Center.
